My name is Jean Carlo Calmet. I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. My obsession with music and my one-of-a-kind beat-matching technique earned me recognition in Peru before I moved to Miami in 1995. I'm a proud retired U.S. Army veteran and a father of 3. The discipline I learned in the Army goes into every event: punctuality, attention to detail, and making sure the party is all about you.
The best kind of music is the kind that resonates, so DJ Calmet's main objective is to play what you and your guests want to hear. Give me a sample of songs, and I will put together a set you will love. No matter where or what your event is, from a wedding reception at a local church to a birthday party at a nightclub, I can make it the best party in town.
I will work with you to provide exactly the atmosphere you want for your wedding, party, or other special event. My professional-grade equipment and excellent ear for playing exactly the right song at exactly the right time will create an experience that your audience or guests will love. Call or WhatsApp (305) 562-3854 with your date, venue and guest count, or use the quote form below. Bookings are made by phone or in person.
Yes. A 50% deposit holds your date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. You can pay by Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, bank transfer or cash.
You can cancel within 72 hours of signing for a full refund. After that, your 50% deposit is non-refundable, since DJ Calmet turns down other events to hold your date. Need a new date? Your deposit moves to any available date within 12 months. Cancellations must be sent in writing (text or email). If DJ Calmet can't perform, you get 100% of your payment back.
Travel is free within 25 miles of Fort Lauderdale (all of Broward, plus Boca Raton and downtown Miami). From 25 to 50 miles it is a flat $100. Beyond 50 miles it is $1.50 per mile round trip, plus a hotel for events over 100 miles away.
Yes. DJ Calmet is bilingual and mixes Reggaeton, Bachata, Salsa, Cumbia and more with whatever your guests want to hear. Ver en español.
Parties & Corporate packages include 4 hours. Extra hours are $150 (Essential), $250 (Signature / Corporate) or $500 (Headliner).
Essential is for small venues (up to 40 guests), Signature for medium venues (up to 80) and Headliner for large venues (up to 150).
Yes. Every package includes a playlist tailored to your specifications. Give DJ Calmet a sample of songs and he will put together a set you will love.
